Yulee, Fla. – On Wednesday, May 8, 2013, around 10:30 p.m. the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office was notified of an armed robbery that had just occurred in Charlton County, Georgia. The 4 black male suspects involved in the robbery were traveling in a 2000 Chrysler 4-door that was last seen heading south on US-1. Nassau Sheriff’s Deputies observed a vehicle matching the suspect’s vehicle heading south on US-1 around Murrhee Road. As deputies attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver fled and the vehicle eventually turned east on CR-108 and then made a right turn onto Bulford Road. The 4 male suspects jumped out of the vehicle and ran into a wooded area. A perimeter was set up and all four individuals were eventually captured. The vehicle was stolen out of Jacksonville and a small handgun, cocaine residue and cash were recovered and placed into evidence. All four suspects were arrested and booked into the Nassau County Detention Facility.

Keith Gerrard Winningham, age 25, from Jacksonville, Florida
John Aaron Ferris, age 20, from Jacksonville, Florida
Keith Kirlin Phelts II, age 27, from Jacksonville, Florida
Charges from NCSO were: Fleeing a law enforcement officer; Grand theft of motor vehicle; Cocaine possession; Resisting/obstructing an officer without violence.
