Analytical Support

The Nassau County Sheriff’s Office Analytical Support Unit is assigned to the Investigation Division and is supervised by the Investigations Captain. The unit consists of a full time Crime Analyst and a part-time volunteer Intelligence Officer. The members assigned to analytical support gather and analyze data with the goal of providing valuable information and data to investigators and patrol deputies. They develop reports and maps identifying trends and patterns of criminal activity which allows for deployment of resources in the most effective manner.

The members of the Analytical Support Unit are provided with state, national and international recognized training. The members are also affiliated with applicable organizations for the continued development of their skills enhancing their capabilities.
