Volunteer and Get Involved
Nassau County Emergency Management welcomes committed volunteers. Volunteers are the heart of our organization and we are excited that you are interested in becoming a part of our team! Your time and skills will enhance our community’s preparedness, communication, response, and recovery capabilities.
Volunteer and Intern Application Requirements:
Must be at least 16 years of age and able to work independently
Must pass a background check and drug screening
Must attend “New Volunteer Orientation”
Specific training may be required, depending on the volunteer role and work location
Must submit the completed, notarized NCSO Volunteer Application to: 77151 Citizens Cir, Yulee FL 32097
Under Florida law, e-mail addresses are public records. If you do not want your e-mail address released in response to a public records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity. Instead, contact this office by phone or in writing.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- U S Citizen
- Reside in Nassau County
- 18 years of age
- Valid Florida Driver’s License
- Complete Application
- Pass a Background Check
- Interview
- Drug Screen Test
- Training
Once the above is completed and successfully processed, volunteers will receive individual training for their work assignments.
