Butch Osborne
Butch Osborne is a twenty eight year law enforcement veteran. He began his career as a Police Reserve Officer with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office in 1990. He came to the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office in 1994. He attended Florida State College and is a graduate of the Florida Sheriff’s Association Commander’s Academy and the FBI Florida Executive Development Program. During his tenure with the Sheriff’s Office he has served as Reserve Deputy, Patrol Deputy, Narcotics Detective, High Intensity Drug Trafficking Task Force, Patrol Sergeant, Internal Affairs Sergeant, Warrants Lieutenant, Patrol and Special Operations Captain and now Director of Law Enforcement Operations. His current position as Director of Operations oversees all aspects of law enforcement within the Sheriff’s Office. Director Osborne serves as an advisor on the Nassau County Truancy Task Force where he represents the Sheriff’s Office along with the Nassau County School District on truancy related issues. He currently also serves as the agency’s Special Response Team Commander.
