The Nassau County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard is staffed by members representing several of the divisions of the Sheriff’s Office and is supervised by the Captain of Detention. The Honor Guard is dedicated to meeting the needs of the agency in regards to presentations, ceremonies and public functions in the community.
The goal of the Honor Guard is to represent the Sheriff’s Office with a high degree of honor, dignity and professionalism in adherence with the long cherished traditions of the law enforcement profession. The Honor Guard was established to represent the Sheriff’s Office at Law Enforcement, Fire Fighter and Military funerals, parades and other ceremonies as directed by the Sheriff.
The Nassau County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard works in partnership with several other local, state and federal units to provide needed services to the community.
