On October 1,2019, NCSO and FBPD served a search warrant at 323 N. 8th Street in Fernandina Beach in reference to complaints of drug activity. After the search two individuals were arrested. Officers also seized a .45mm semi-automatic handgun with extended magazine loaded with 16 rounds of ammunition, a box of .45 caliber ammunition containing 69 rounds, 59 grams of marijuana, 9 grams of crack cocaine, 5.4 grams of powder cocaine, numerous small baggies used to package narcotics, $1,114 in US currency, digital scale with white powdery residue, 2.3 grams of crushed pills identified a amphetamine, 47 grams of burnt marijuana, and other numerous drug paraphernalia items.
Latoya Catrice Clay, 31, from Fernandina Beach, was arrested for Unlawful Sell/Manufacture/Deliver Narcotics, 2 counts Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell, Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon, Keeping a Place Where Controlled Substance are Kept/Sold/Used Declared a Public Nuisance.
Gary Leonard Clay, 55, from Fernandina Beach, was arrested for Possession of Cocaine, Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon.
