Community Volunteer

The Nassau County Sheriff’s Office is recruiting volunteers who would like to take an active role in making our community a safe place to live.

The Sheriff invites you to consider becoming a member of one of our Community Volunteer Programs. Our volunteers provide an invaluable level of service and support by improving the safety, welfare and quality of life in our communities.

The Civilian Volunteer Programs are designed to help supplement and perform an array of different task and duties that help with non-confrontation duties that keep certified deputies available for more serious calls requiring law enforcement expertise as well as clerical duties.
