Sheriff’s Office “Safe Kids Academy” A Success
Yulee, Fla. – The Nassau County Sheriff’s Office recently presented the NCSO Safe Kids Academy.
The Safe Kids Academy was conducted in a classroom setting and the children, ages 5-8, received hands on practical experience in six major topics of instruction, which were taught by Sheriff’s Office personnel. The children learned self-defense techniques, practiced dialing “911″ where the child communicated with a pre-recorded dispatch system, learned about stranger awareness, internet safety, anti-bullying and participated in a fire safety drill.
At the end of the class the children received a certificate of completion.
