The Nassau County Sheriff’s Office announces the arrest of Todd Joseph Lee and Lisa Marie Lee on April 20, 2026 in Fernandina Beach. The arrests followed a thorough investigation into allegations of child neglect involving three minors.
Our NCSO detective conducted a detailed follow-up at the residence, where they observed conditions that included pooling urine, feces smeared on the carpet and walls, raw meat in multiple locations, scattered trash, roaches throughout the home, dirty dishes, and flies in the sink. One of the children required specialized medical care and had ports that necessitated regular cleaning, which was not performed. Several teachers of the children had previously filed DCF complaints regarding their welfare.
DCF had already removed the children on April 19th due to significant medical and environmental concerns. Both parents failed to provide the children with essential care, supervision, and services necessary to ensure their physical and mental well-being, including but not limited to proper nutrition, clothing, shelter, medication, and medical services.
Sheriff Bill Leeper stated, “The neglect and deplorable conditions these children endured are unacceptable. We are committed to protecting our most vulnerable and will pursue criminal charges against those responsible for such appalling neglect.”
Both parents were arrested and booked into the Nassau County Jail.
