Nassau County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Man on Child Sexual Abuse Material Charges

On April 14, 2026, the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) arrested Frederick John Combs on two counts of possession of child sexual abuse material, as well as charges related to possession of pornographic images and videos involving a person and an animal.

The investigation began on January 5, 2026, when NCSO received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). The tip reported a subject uploading three files classified as child sexual abuse material.

On April 14, 2026, NCSO investigators, along with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Task Force Officers, made contact with the suspect. Combs was living in an RV on someone else’s property in Hilliard. A search of his electronic devices revealed images and videos consistent with the cyber tip. Some of the material also depicted animals engaging in sexual acts with humans.

Combs was taken into custody without incident. He is being held at the Nassau County Jail pending further court proceedings.

“This individual is sick and disturbing, and there is no place in our community for this kind of behavior. We will continue to work aggressively with our federal partners to identify, investigate, and arrest those who exploit children,” said Sheriff Bill Leeper.

This case was investigated as part of INTERCEPT’s ongoing efforts to combat child exploitation and internet crimes against children, in partnership with federal agencies.
