Callahan, FL – The Nassau County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 41-year-old Callahan man on multiple counts of sexual battery on a minor. Dennis Allen Dean was taken into custody following an investigation that began Tuesday, July 15th.
The investigation was initiated after the mother of the victim’s friend contacted authorities with concerns.
According to victim statements to investigators, the alleged sexual contact by the suspect started approximately three years ago and had occurred numerous times. Our detectives obtained text messages that revealed a pattern of sexual abuse between the suspect and juvenile victim.
“Our investigators worked diligently to investigate this case and ensure the victim’s safety,” Sheriff Bill Leeper said. “We take all reports of child abuse seriously and we will continue to pursue justice for the victims of these heinous crimes.”
Dean was charged with two counts of sexual battery on a minor and booked into the Nassau County Jail and Detention Center.
