The Public Affairs Office of the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for managing all communication efforts on behalf of the agency. This includes issuing news releases, responding to media inquiries, releasing public records to the media in compliance with Florida Public Records Law, conducting news conferences, coordinating crisis communications, creating and distributing newsletters for both internal and external audiences, managing the Sheriff’s Office social media platforms, and supporting various community outreach projects at the direction of the Sheriff.

Alicia Blinn joined the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office in April 2022 as a Public Information Officer and was promoted to Director of Public Affairs in June 2024. In this role, she manages all aspects of the agency’s digital and public communication efforts.
She oversees the Sheriff's Office social media platforms, ensuring they remain timely, accurate, and engaging. Alicia is also responsible for video production, which includes filming, editing, and producing content that highlights NCSO initiatives and community engagement. She serves as the liaison between the agency and the media, facilitating interviews and helping ensure accurate coverage of agency operations. Her role also includes crafting and disseminating official statements, managing crisis communication, and keeping the public informed about the Sheriff’s Office activities, policies, and services.
Alicia holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs from Georgetown University and a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from George Mason University. She is also an FAA-certified drone pilot. Prior to joining NCSO, Alicia worked as a reporter at Action News Jax from 2018 to 2022.
Robert Grant serves as the Public Information Officer for the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office, where he leads media relations and strategic communication initiatives. His work focuses on promoting transparency, building public trust, and highlighting the service and community impact of the agency’s personnel.
Before joining NCSO, Robert worked as a weekend morning anchor and reporter at Action News Jax, covering significant stories across Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia, including the local impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ahmaud Arbery trial, and regional population growth. He began his career in the Black Hills of South Dakota, reporting on unique stories such as the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and the annual Buffalo Roundup. He later worked in Knoxville, Tennessee, where he served as a multimedia journalist and anchor. During his time there, he earned an Emmy Award for team coverage of an environmental disaster and an Edward R. Murrow Award for his reporting on Knoxville College, a historically Black institution.
Robert is originally from New Hampshire and graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2014 with a degree in broadcast journalism.
Sergeant Robert Jackson joined the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office in May 2017 and has dedicated his career to serving and strengthening the Nassau County community. Throughout his tenure, he has held a variety of assignments, including School Resource Officer, K9 Handler and Trainer, Field Training Officer, and Instructor. He also serves as the Team Leader and Trainer for the Sheriff’s Office Negotiations/Crisis Response Team.
In his current role, Sgt. Jackson oversees Community Affairs and Recruiting, where he focuses on building meaningful relationships between the Sheriff’s Office and the community it serves. He coordinates outreach initiatives, recruiting efforts, youth programs, and large-scale community events, including Teen Academy, Citizens Academy, and Touch-a-Truck event. Through leadership, education, and engagement, Sergeant Jackson is committed to fostering trust, developing future leaders, and ensuring the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office remains connected, responsive, and engaged with the community.
