Between June 26, 2019 and June 28, 2019 there were ten auto burglaries reported in Bryceville, particularly in the Ford Road and US-301 area.  All of the vehicles that were burglarized were left unlocked and three firearms were also stolen during these incidents.

After further investigation, NCSO Detectives have arrested two suspects so far.

  • Triston Lei Palmer, 17 from Hilliard, was arrested and charged with three burglaries and theft.
  • Michael Jason Dechaine, 16 from Bryceville, was arrested for seven burglaries, theft, criminal mischief and dealing in stolen property.

The investigation is continuing and more arrests and charges may be forthcoming.

Always lock your doors in order to reduce your chances of becoming a victim.  These thieves walk around checking vehicle doors to see if they are locked or not.  If not, they will look inside for anything of value to steal.  If you have anything of value take it out or hide it from plain site.
