The Nassau County Sheriff’s Office is accredited in both Law Enforcement and Corrections. Accreditation is the certification by an independent reviewing authority that an entity has met specific requirements and prescribed standards. Being accredited helps an agency measure the effectiveness of programs and services and better evaluates operations against nationally and state approved standards. This process is a team effort and reflects the professionalism of employees at the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office.
