Is a thirty-five year law enforcement veteran. He rose up through the ranks of the Florida Fish & Wildlife Commission to be the Regional Commander of the Commission’s South Florida operations. He was responsible for 130 personnel overseeing uniform patrol, investigations, communications, administration, special operations and budget before his retirement. He also served briefly as Undersheriff of the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office where he supervised corrections, investigations, and operational sections. He served as an instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Brunswick, Georgia, teaching land navigation, use of camouflage, team movements, report writing, radio usage, patrol techniques, care under fire, and tracking to law enforcement officers throughout the country. He attended Florida Junior College at Jacksonville, majoring in business and has received extensive training in emergency management.
He oversees all areas in the Administrative section to include 911 communications, evidence, property, fleet maintenance, IT, and finance.
